For a rare Saturday game the Bison Nine traveled to Tyrone for a makeup of a game canceled back on April 5th. The Bison offense rallied for 4 runs early and eventually built a significant 8-2 lead. However, thanks to some shoddy defensive play by the visitors, the Golden Eagles pulled to within one run going into the seventh inning. With Reese Wilson on the mound in relief of Jake Sorbera, the Bison were able to hold on for an 8-7 win.
Sorbera got the win, pitching 5 innings without surrendering any earned runs. Wilson earned his first save with two innings of work. Eli glass and Nate Barr led the offense with three hits each, while Sorbera helped his own cause with two hits and two RBIs. Seth Bumbarger also drove in two runs.
With an 3-1 record the Bison head into a three game week, hosting P-O on Monday, Central on Thursday and Bradford on Friday.
