Jake Sorbera pitched 5 and 2/3 strong innings, surrendering only two unearned runs as the Bison defeated the Eagles on a cold and windy day at the Bison Sports Complex. Eli Glass picked up the win in relief after Sorbera had reached his pitch limit for the day.
Big doubles by Nate Barr and Harrison Peacock, along with RBI singles by Ty Bender and Glass jump started the Bison offense. After the Eagles tied the game at 2-2 in the top of the sixth, Reese Wilson led off the bottom of the sixth with a clutch homer, which proved to be the winning run.
The win evened the Bison record at 1 and 1, with three more contests remaining this week. All three games (Punxsy, Penns Valley, and Tyrone) are all on the road. The Bison return home again on April 16, hosting the Mounties of Philipsburg-Osceola.
