Bison Pitching Stops Bearcats

Sophomore Jake Sorbera’s first varsity start was impressive as he beat Huntingdon in a 3-1 pitcher’s duel at the Bison Sports Complex. Sorbera went 6 innings, surrendering only five hits and one unearned run. Tommy Hazel closed it out by striking out the side in the seventh, although giving up one hit. Marcus Luzier and Ty Bender had a double and a single each, while Hazel drove in two runs. Brandon Orsich also drove in a run.

The Herd is now 2-0 in the Mountain League and is scheduled to host the Bellefonte Red Raiders on Monday.
