Bison Upset Dragons in Opener, 2-0

On a sunny but very cold day, the Bison squad visited Martinsburg and came away with a surprising upset of the Central Scarlet Dragons. Senior lefty Thomas Summers threw an impressive 2-0 shutout against the defending Mountain League champs. Scattering 4 singles and striking out 7 batters, he was in control the whole game. Outstanding defensive plays by Cole Kephart, Spencer Herrington and Tommy Hazel helped him along the way. Josh Sorbera drove in the first Bison run in the 3rd inning and Tommy Hazel scored in the 4th on the back end of a Bison double steal. Dan Collins and Kephart hit doubles.

Next up for the Red and Black is a trip to Huntingdon on Thursday, March 26th.
