10th Annual Bison Baseball Alumni Weekend

The weekend began on Friday evening with a well-attended batting practice session, followed up with a social hour at the Rec Park. The weather cooperated nicely for that. However, the next morning brought heavy cloud cover and several hours of steady rain.

Despite the bad weather, over 30 former players showed up for the game. They patiently waited through a two hour rain delay before the skies finally cleared. After Clearfield’s newest professional player, Chad Zurat (Colorado Rockies organization) threw out the first pitch, the game got underway with 24 alumni actually participating. The Red Team battled the Black Team for six innings which ended in a 6-6 tie before being called by mutual agreement. Next years alumni weekend is scheduled for Sept 11th and 12th, 2015.
