Clearfield VFW to Host 2014 State Teener Tournament
Pennsylvania VFW State Baseball Commissioner Fred Gonzalez recently announced that Clearfield has been chosen to host the 14U Teener League State Tournament July 24th to 27th, 2014. Eight teams from around the state will compete in the double elimination tournament to be held at the Lawrence Township Recreation Park.
As the host, our local 14U Teener team, Jim’s Sports Center, will automatically qualify for the tournament. This is a great opportunity for our local players to find out how they match up with state level competition. The 2012 Jim’s team was Area 6 champs and finished in fourth place at States. The 2013 team lost to Punxsy in the Area Finals.
