Bisons Great Comeback Downs Chucks In Season Finale

Down 2-0 and locked in a tight pitcher’s duel, the Bisons exploded for 9 runs in the bottom of the sixth to stun the Punxsutawney Chucks this afternoon at the Bison Sports Complex.

Jon Janocko started off the inning with a double down the left field line. Cole Kephart immediately followed with a bomb over the right-center field fence to tie the score. From there the onslaught continued with 3 walks and key hits by Wyatt Westen and Thomas Summers. Consecutive dingers by Janocko and Kephart, his second one of the inning, set the score at 9-2. Starter Devin Jones went Six strong innings, and Janocko finished it with a scoreless seventh. It was Clearfield’s first win over the Chucks since 2010 and a great way to finish the 2013 season.
