One Bad Inning Dooms Bisons at Bellefonte

Falling behind 4–2 after five innings, the Bisons produced a great rally in their half of the sixth to go ahead 6–4. But, a disastrous 9 run inning dashed any hopes they had of defeating the undefeated Red Raiders.

Clutch singles by Jonas Kochan and Curtis Collins, along with a sacrifice fly by Cole Kephart, fueled the Bison rally, but the Bison could not hold down the Raiders in the home half of the inning.

Bison hurlers pitched well into the fifth inning before tiring. Lefty Thomas Summers took the loss in relief. Summers was the only Bison with two hits.

Clearfield faces a touch schedule this coming week with away trips to Tyrone Monday, Punxsy Tuesday, and Central on Friday. A home game Thursday with Penns Valley will be played, providing maintenance work on the Bison Sports Complex is completed.
