Bisons Great Comeback Falls Short Against Bellefonte
Down 12-0 after 4 and 1/2 innings, the Bisons staged a furious comeback, scoring 7 runs in the 5th and 6 more in the 6th to take the lead going into the final inning. However, the Red Raiders pushed across 3 runs in the top of the 7th and the home team was unable to rally in their half, setting the final at 15-13.
It was an exciting home opener, as the offense was in high gear for both teams. They combined for 32 hits in the game, but there were no homers and only four of the hits went for extra bases. Leading the Red and Black offense were cousins Ronny and Tanner Ogden, each with two hits and 7 rbis between them. Kyler Kephart and Coleman Kubala also had a couple of hits each. Wyatt Westen took the loss on the hill after relieving Tanner in the 5th.
The Bisons play host to Penns Valley on Friday with starting time set for 4:30 PM.
