Bisons Open Up In Virginia
The Bisons opened their 2012 season in Virginia against the Norfolk Collegiate High School “Oaks” and dropped a close 10-9 decision. In a wild game that featured a total of 22 hits and 15 walks, the Oaks scored the winning run on an infield single in the bottom of the seventh. After falling behind 7-0 in the second inning, the Bisons battled back to tie the score at 9-9 in the top of the seventh. Kyler Kephart was the hard luck loser on the mound, after relieving Ronny Ogden. The Bison offense was led by Tanner Ogden with two hits and Coleman Kubala with two rbi’s. Cole Kephart and Jon Janocko added doubles.
Clearfield’s home opener is scheduled for Tuesday, March 27th against the Bellefonte Red Raiders at 4:30 PM.
