March 20th – Bisons Open Season in Virginia

Norfolk Collegiate High School was the host as the Bison Baseball team opened up the 2009 season with an 8-2 win on March 20th. Michael Moyer was the winning pitcher as he struckout 12 batters in six innings. Lefty Corey Bookhamer pitched a scoreless inning in relief. Bookhamer led the hitting attack with 3 hits and 2 runs batted in. Designated hitter Isaac Butler drove in three Bison runs and catcher Matt Lonjin connected for a two run single in the Bisons’ big 5th inning.
