May 26th – St. Marys

The Bisons traveled to St. Marys last night to take on the Flying Dutch in a D9 semi-final game and came away with a 16-3 victory, as Trey Wallace pitched a complete game 5 hitter for his 6th varsity win this season. Clearfield pounded out 9 hits combined with 9 walks to advance to the district finals on May 31st. James Zimmerman drove in three runs on two hits and Adam Jury also had two hits. Lead off hitter Craig Butler, Zimmerman, and Jury cracked back-to back-to back doubles in the sixth inning to put the game away. First baseman Shane Davis set a new school record by reaching base three times as a hit batsman. This gives him 13 for the season, eclipsing the old record of twelve. Beau Ryan, Max Condon, and Kurt Miller scored two runs each. The Bisons must now face top-seeded Punxsutawny for the D9 championship. That game is set for Brockway High School on Wednesday at 4:30PM.
