May 8th – P-O

The Bisons and the Mounties were engaged in a tight pitcher’s duel when P-O pulled away with three unearned runs in the bottom of the fifth inning tonight at Don Womer Memorial Field in Philipsburg. Brandon Evans pitched well in defeat, as did Mountie starter J.D. Mason. Matt Curtis came on in the sixth to close the 7-3 P-O victory. Clearfield’s Adam Jury and James Zimmerman had two hits each, while Evans tripled and Trey Wallace had a double. Ben Maurer, Ryan Marcinko, and Jordan Luzier collected two hits apiece for the home team. The Bisons’ next game is at St. Marys on Wednesday. Game time is 4:15 PM.
