April 29th – Somerset
After a shaky start, the Bisons battled back from a 6 run deficit to give 12-2 Somerset one heck of a ball game on Saturday afternoon. Though suffering an 8-6 setback, the Red and Black came within one hit of tieing the game, leaving runners on second and third in the seventh inning. Facing ace lefty Drew Shaulis, the Bisons stroked 11 basehits, with Craig Butler, Adam Jury, and Kurt Miller combining for six of them. Shane Davis and Kyle Kline doubled and James Zimmerman hit a two run homer. Evans pitched well in relief of starter Andrew Janocko. Clearfield’s next outing is at Bald Eagle Area on Monday at 4:30 PM.
