April 20th – Huntingdon
The Bisons suffered a tough 5-4 loss to the Huntingdon Bearcats tonight at Memorial Stadium. The red hot “Cats” were coming off a stunning upset of Williamsport earlier in the week, and have now won three straight under new Head Coach Anthony Biviano, a Clearfield Bison alumnus. The Bisons gave up five runs early, but hung on and played excellent defense the rest of the way, as lefty reliever Andrew Janocko held the Bearcats in check. Clearfield fought back to within one run, and had several opportunities to tie it up, but the Huntingdon defense played flawlessly. Landon Yingling went the distance on the mound, and Jake Cunningham had two hits and three rbi’s for the home team. Craig Butler, Kurt Miller, and Brandon Evans had two hits apiece for the Bisons. Clearfield’s record now stands at 5-3-1 with Juniata slated to come to town on Saturday at 1:00 PM.
