March 30th – Bellefonte

The Bisons dropped a 6-5 decision to the Bellefonte Raiders last night when Ben Pearce blooped a two out, two strike single into short left field to give his team the win. It was another close contest in a string of great ball games that has blossomed into an intense rivalry between the two schools. Head coaches Denny Leathers and Sid Lansberry, veterans of a combined 60 years of coaching, look forward to the game each year, anticipating a real nail biter. For the Bisons, Craig Butler and Adam Jury had two hits, while the Raiders’ Pearce had three hits, including a homer. Max Condon took the loss on the hill in relief of starter Trey Wallace. Jeff Lucas went the distance for the Raiders. Clearfield will host Brookville at 2:30 PM Saturday.
