March 26th – Maury High

Clearfield continued its winning ways this afternoon with a hard fought victory over Maury High school in Norfolk. The Bisons jumped out to an early 9-2 lead, but a disastrous 4th inning enabled Maury to tie up the game, 9-9. After trading runs in the fifth, The Red and Black pushed across single runs in the 6th and 7th, hanging on to win 12-10. Andrew Janocko earned the mound victory in relief of starter Trey Wallace. Shortstop Adam Jury led the hit parade with 4 hits and 3 rbi’s. Doug Kephart added three hits and Craig Butler drove in three runs, Second baseman Kyle Kline also had two hits. The Bisons are scheduled to open CPL play on Tuesday against Indian Valley at the Bison Sports Complex. Game time is 4:00 PM.
