May 7 – Brookville
Bad luck continued for the Clearfield Bisons under the lights of McKinley Field Saturday night as the Blue Raiders of Brookville came away with a heartbreaking 10-9 victory. In a game in which they exploded for 9 runs and were in the lead most of the way, the Red and Black fell victim to a two out rally by the home team in the bottom of the sixth inning. Sophomore Brandon Evans suffered the loss on the mound despite collecting two hits. Adam Jury, another sophomore, had a stellar game with four hits and three RBIs. The Bisons resume their rugged schedule on Monday when they host the Tigers of Hollidaysburg at 4:30 PM. There was some good news from the weekend, however. The Bison JV team, under head coach Brandon Billotte, participated in the Brookville Invitational Junior Varsity Tournament and brought home the championship trophy. Congratulations, JVs!!!
