Bison Offense Comes Alive at Huntingdon, 13-0

With 5 Bisons having multi-hit games, the visitors racked up a total of 14 hits. Senior right hander Trevor Flanagan tossed a complete game, striking out 5 Bearcats. Jarrett Fulmer, Derek Danver, Tyler Jacobson, Christian Lezzer, and Flanagan had two hits each, while Andrew Redden and Shane Harper doubled for the Bisons. Clearfield played errorless defense.

Jacobson’s Excellent Pitching Performance Wasted in Tough 3-1 Loss to Central

What a different story this time around! When the Central Dragons visited the Bison Sports Complex on April 29th, their high powered offense put 36 runs on the board. This game was the complete opposite. Senior righty Tyler Jacobson held the Dragons to just two hits as he went toe-to-to with ace lefty Jared Blair. Despite being out hit, Central managed to eke out a 3-1 win, clinching the division title for the Dragons. Derek Danver doubled for the Bisons.

Bisons Upset Visiting Lewistown

Jarrett Fulmer (3 innings) and Ronny Ogden (4 innings) combined to limit the potent Lewistown offense to two earned runs in an 11-3 upset win at the Bison Sports Complex. Andrew Redden and designated hitter Coleman Kubala led the Bison offense with two hits each. One of Redden’s was home. The Bison defense was outstanding as Ogden picked up the win on the mound.

Wildcats Pounce on Bisons 16-5

Central Mountain’s D-1 prospect Trey Stover stymied the Bison hitters until they solved him for 5 big runs in the 5th inning. Big hits by Jarret Fulmer, Andrew Redden, Tyler Jacobson carried the rally, but it was too little, too late. Stover, who recently signed a letter intent to play at VMI, also led the Wildcats offense with 3 hits.

Mountie Bats Explode in Big Win Over Bisons

Philipsburg-Osceola pounded out 16 hits to defeat the Bisons 20-9 at the Bison Sports Complex. Hayden Hayward and Drew Bryan homered for the Mounties, while Andrew Redden and Ronny Ogden did the same for the Bisons. Drew Brown doubled and singled for Clearfield. Ogden held the mounties scoreless through the middle innings in relief of Bison starter Jarrett Fulmer. Parker Watson was the winning pitcher.

Next up for Clearfield is a home game with Central Mountain on May 9th.

Clearfield over Juniata 15-0

The Bisons long trek to Mifflintown proved to be worth it as they came home with a 15-0, three inning win over the Juniata Indians. Tyler Jacobson pitched well, surrendering only 3 hits. Jarrett Fulmer and Derek Danver each scored 3 runs. Danver had 3 hits, including a homerun. Fulmer and Andrew Redden had two hits, while Christian Lezzer had two RBIs.

The win raises the team record to 6-7. The next game is against P-O.

Chucks walk to 13-8 Win Over Bisons

In a game that had to be moved to Punxsutawney because of wet grounds at the Bison Sports Complex, Clearfield pitchers issued 10 walks helping the Chucks to a 13-8 victory. Three Bisons had two hits each, Tyler Jacobson, Drew Brown, and Derek Danver. Danver had the big blow, a grand slam in the second inning. Ronny Ogden was the losing pitcher.

P-O Defeats Clearfield 6-1

Philipsburg-Osceola right Cody Lee stymied the Bison offense with a complete game five hitter. Coleman Kubola was the only Bison with too hits. Trevor Flanagan pitched well in the defeat. The loss lowers the Bison record to 5-6.

Bisons Hang On to Defeat Tyrone, 10-9

Down 5-1 in the fifth inning, the visiting Bisons battled back scoring 9 runs over the last three innings to take a 10-9 win. Jarrett Fulmer pitched 6 innings for the win, and Trevor Flanagan survived a rocky 7th to preserve it. Fulmer led the offense with 3 hits and 3 RBIs. Derek Danver, Christian Lezzer, and Flanagan had two hits each as the Bisons hammered out 12. Drew Brown scored three times.

The big win evens the Bisons record at 5-5.

Indian Valley over Clearfield 10-2

Indian Valley’s righthander Rodney Patterson used a variety of off speed pitches to cool down the hot Bison bats on a rare warm and sunny day at Bison Sports Complex. The result was a 10-2 win for the Warriors. Derek Danver and Jarrett Fulmer each had two hits. Tyler Jacobson took the loss on the mound.

The Bisons next travel to Tyrone on Monday, May 2nd.
