CHS BISON BASEBALL 2005'
Final Game Results:

May 18,    Indian Valley
The Bisons traveled to Lewistown yesterday and found out why the Warriors of Indian Valley are the number one team in the CPL and in District Six. With AJ Yoder hurling a one hitter, the Warriors won a 13-0 five inning game. Trey Wallace took the loss on the hill and Shane Davis had the Bisons' only hit. The game ended the season and also senior Ben Dearing's high school career. We wish Ben well as he moves on to Slippery Rock University in the Fall. As for the rest of the Bisons, they have already begun preparing for next season, as most of them will be playing for the Clearfield American Legion Post #6 team this summer.

May 12,    Bradford
(Makeup game from May 2nd): Bradford ace Zach Foster pitched a solid game despite giving up 9 hits in a 9-3 victory, as the Bisons left too many men on base. Clearfield will wrap up the seasom with a Wednesday trip to Indian Valley, currently in first place and undefeated in CPL play.

Bison centerfielder Doug Kephart hit a double in his first varsity start. The Red and Black will travel to Showers Field on Wednesday to take on the Dubois Beavers.

May 7,    Brookville
Bad luck continued for the Clearfield Bisons under the lights of McKinley Field Saturday night as the Blue Raiders of Brookville came away with a heartbreaking 10-9 victory. In a game in which they exploded for 9 runs and were in the lead most of the way, the Red and Black fell victim to a two out rally by the home team in the bottom of the sixth inning. Sophomore Brandon Evans suffered the loss on the mound despite collecting two hits. Adam Jury, another sophomore, had a stellar game with four hits and three RBIs. The Bisons resume their rugged schedule on Monday when they host the Tigers of Hollidaysburg at 4:30 PM. There was some good news from the weekend, however.
